Terri Fortner is a local businesswoman and a nurse practitioner with a private practice in Farmington. She has served San Juan County and the State of New Mexico for many years in various roles. Most recently, Terri was appointed to the Executive Committee of the Four Corners Economic Development (4CED) Board of Directors, where she works to improve the economic future of San Juan County. She also currently serves as Vice President of New Mexico Counties where she consults with elected leaders throughout the state to address issues that will affect San Juan County.
Terri is passionate about addressing the ongoing health needs of San Juan County citizens. She has served on the San Juan Regional Medical Center Board of Directors, where she helped oversee San Juan Regional Medical Center.
Terri also served on the New Mexico Board of Nursing and chaired that board for four years. She was involved in many important rule-making decisions that affected nurses and the health of all New Mexicans and chaired meetings that decided appropriate discipline for nurses who violated the New Mexico Nurse Practices Act.
Terri currently serves as an adjunct instructor at San Juan College, training local student nurses.
